We are a dynamic growing consulting engineering company in search of Process Automation Engineers to join our System Integration Business Unit in our Kalamazoo, Michigan office
Requirements/Responsibilities
The person in this position will be responsible for designing/engineering, programming, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of various process automation systems and related equipment. A strong background in automated systems, such as DCS, PLC, PLC/SCADA controllers is required along with a working knowledge of control and instrumentation, including valves, transmitters, and loop controllers. Proficiency with reading of P&IDs and methods of level, temperature, pressure, and flow measurement is desired, as well as knowledge relating to processes, and safety systems. Process automation projects can include continuous controls, sequencing, batch processes, interlock, and shutdown systems. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in a chemical or similar plant environment. Travel within the region is possible.
This position requires the ability to organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities. Candidates need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors. Contractor management skills are also a plus.

Education
BS in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent background.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of engineering with process automation applications.
