Automation Engineer - Kalamazoo, MI
Requirements/Responsibilities
HTSE currently has a full-time opening for an Automation Engineer in the Kalamazoo, Michigan region.
The person in this position will be responsible for the automation, start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of various manufacturing equipment and related systems. A background in the development of PLC and HMI applications is required. Proficiency with reading electrical schematics and methods of equipment control is desired, as well as knowledge relating to safety systems. Automation projects can include controls, barcode, vision, interlock, and shutdown systems. Occasional travel is required.
This position requires the ability to organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities. Candidates need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors. Contractor management skills are also a plus.

Process Automation Engineer - Kalamazoo, MI
Requirements/Responsibilities
HTSE currently a full-time opening for a Process Automation Engineer in the Kalamazoo, Michigan region.
Experience with Honeywell TDC3000 DCS is a must.
The person in this position will be responsible for designing/engineering, programming, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of various process automation systems and related equipment. A strong background in automated systems, such as DCS, PLC, PLC/SCADA controllers is required along with a working knowledge of control and instrumentation, including valves, transmitters, and loop controllers. Proficiency with reading of P&IDs and methods of level, temperature, pressure, and flow measurement is desired, as well as knowledge relating to processes, and safety systems. Process automation projects can include continuous controls, sequencing, batch processes, interlock, and shutdown systems. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in a Pharmaceutical, chemical, or similar plant environment. Travel within the region is possible.
